Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
Provides specialized telemetry nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. Delivers comprehensive assessments, supports patient safety, and collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and identifying abnormal findings.
• Deliver competent nursing care tailored to patients’ cardiac conditions, supporting appropriate interventions and treatments.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress, adhering to documentation guidelines.
• Demonstrate professional accountability by following policies, procedures, and safety protocols, and seeking ongoing professional development.
• Respond to patient and family concerns with professionalism and compassion, promoting a patient-centered environment.
• Apply safe transfer techniques, body mechanics, and infection control procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 1 year of hospital acute care experience, with a focus on telemetry nursing preferred.
• Hold an active RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification in Dysrhythmia recognition required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac monitoring equipment, emergency procedures, and patient safety standards.
