Description

• Conduct evaluations of patients in inpatient or outpatient environments and formulate tailored treatment plans
• Implement physical therapy interventions concentrating on enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
• Work in collaboration with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to maximize patient outcomes
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapeutic goals, discharge plans, and home-based exercises
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress following facility and regulatory standards
• Engage in interdisciplinary team rounds and conferences to ensure comprehensive care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification preferred
• Specialty certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are a bonus but not mandatory
