Senior Account Manager

The Senior Account Manager will manage key client programs together with our Asia-based teams to successfully bring manufacturing projects from development through mass production. They will be responsible for managing client relationships to ensure effective communication and long-term client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
· Monitor client programs through daily review of ongoing work, project schedules, and internal communication to ensure client objectives are on track.
· Meet with clients on a regular basis during US business hours by phone/video to manage the relationship and look for growth opportunities.
· Hold regular evening meetings with client team and Sigma Asia teams to review open projects: set agendas, prepare the team, and guide weekly meetings.
· Meet with Asia teams as needed to review project status and provide guidance on how to proceed when the team has issues that need US support to resolve.
· Present any high-risk items, recovery plans, key questions, and escalations to the US leadership team for guidance and review of next steps.
· Gather data about client programs to gauge program success against KPIs for Quarterly Business Reviews.
· Work with senior managers to provide higher-level status summaries of key programs to share with client teams, including key decision makers.
· Supply chain and production planning activities, including reviewing production schedules, material inventory, and aligning forecasts and PO requirements with clients.
· Manage RFQ process with Asia development teams to ensure client expectations are understood and met.
· Assist in company operational initiatives: Join ad hoc internal initiative projects to provide feedback and insight and help direct departmental and company-wide changes.
· Work with US management & Asia teams to identify opportunities for cost reductions in ongoing client programs.
· Evening work time is required based on time zones and working with Asia.
· Travel to Asia to support product development.
Experience/Skills Requirement:
· Analytical: able to review reports and internal communications to find the story in the data and share with leadership and clients.
· Detail Oriented: Customer-facing work requires deep review of information in order to be able to defend or justify when critical questions are asked.
· Communication: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a multicultural, global work environment, with frequent collaboration across teams in China and Vietnam. Experienced in aligning cross-regional teams across time zones, ensuring clarity on expectations, deliverables, and timelines. Skilled at simplifying and explaining complex information and documenting decisions to avoid misalignment.
· Comfortable with Ambiguity: Ability to assess probabilities in real time based on analysis of data, reporting, and internal communications.
· Leadership: Comfortable engaging with colleagues to explain, review, and deliver on client objectives. Willing to work to fix processes when they are creating frustration.
· Technical: A background in engineering is required. Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment, or related technical experience is preferred.
· Experience: 5+ years in a related account management role
· Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects/programs concurrently
· Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint
· Clear, concise written and oral communication skills
