Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for children, adults, and seniors employing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment strategies focusing on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Engage in individual speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, vocalization, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teammates - including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families - to formulate unified treatment plans.
• Provide educational resources for patients and their families to facilitate progress outside therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring a smooth continuum in patient care.
• Ensure quality documentation that adheres to federal, state, and organizational regulations.
• Commit to continuous professional development and peer collaboration to stay intimate with industry advancements.

Education

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) pending ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
