Together, we're improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Gaithersburg, MD.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am – 1:30pm (must be flexible); every other Saturday 8:00am - 12:00pmJob Responsibilities:Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groupsCollect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerProcess billing information and collect payments when requiredPrepare all collected specimens for testing and analysisMaintain patient and specimen information logsProvide superior customer service to all patientsAdministrative and clerical duties as necessaryOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED or equivalentPhlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomistPreferred Qualifications:1 year or more of phlebotomy experienceAdditional Job Standards:In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may meet requirementsAble to pass a standardized color blindness testFlexibility to work overtime as neededExceptional customer serviceStrong communication skills; both written and verbalAbility to work independently or in a team environmentComfortable working under minimal supervisionTravel to additional site as needed, reliable transportationIf you're looking for a career that offers opportunities for growth, continual development, professional challenge and the chance to make a real difference, apply today!Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer:Labcorp strives for inclusion and belonging in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
