We are seeking a Senior Grant Manager to support grant administration initiatives for a statewide government program in South Dakota. This full-time, primarily remote position will lead the administration of complex grant programs, ensuring compliance with funding requirements while serving as a key resource for state agencies, stakeholders, and project teams.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing government-funded grant programs, strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to oversee multiple projects while navigating complex compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration of assigned grant programs from award through closeout.
• Review complex grant applications, agreements, budgets, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and program-specific requirements.
• Monitor grant performance, expenditures, deliverables, and reporting deadlines.
• Prepare and review financial, operational, and programmatic reports.
• Provide guidance on grant requirements, regulations, and program compliance.
• Coordinate with state agencies, grant recipients, and internal project teams.
• Maintain complete and accurate grant records and supporting documentation.
• Support grant monitoring activities, audits, and compliance reviews.
• Identify and resolve complex grant administration issues.
• Recommend process improvements that enhance grant administration and program effectiveness.
• Travel to central South Dakota, as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of grants management, grant administration, grants compliance, or related experience.
• Experience managing state or federally funded grant programs required.
• Strong knowledge of grant administration principles, compliance requirements, and funding regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently in a primarily remote environment.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10-15%, with up to 25% travel during the first 90 days.

Compensation

• $90,000-$110,000 annual salary, depending on experience.
