About the Position

Job Title: Med Surg/Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med Surg/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year recent experience required License: Client License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - MS/Tele skills - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Use of Rapid Response/Code teams - Peripheral Line Care/Management - Nasal Cannula and Oxygen administration - Oxygen tank management - Non-invasive airway management - Isolation precautions Description: Candidates who can start as soon as possible and have no requested time off will be eligible for an expedited offer without an interview. Recent experience in a Med Surg/Tele setting is necessary. The role requires floating based on facility needs. A care team of an RN, LPN, and PCA will manage a maximum of 8 patients. Availability for every other weekend and holiday is required. All requested time off must be included in the initial submission. Any time off requested after the offer will not be approved. The traveler will need to ensure any additional shifts are covered. 3 call-offs are permissible over the 13-week assignment. Travelers must have current certifications and a valid state license. Team nursing and collaboration with interdisciplinary support are important aspects of the role. Candidates without a New York license may still be submitted if they have applied for one. Training on the EMR system will be provided. Former employees may not be submitted for traveler positions. Previous travelers may return if they are in good standing.
