Activities Assistant

These activities will be designed to meet their physical, social, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual needs. Responsible for creating opportunities for daily 1:1 visits with all residents to invite and inform of activities, conversation, support, etc. Maintain accurate daily documentation of the resident’s attendance and participation level Distribute and post material regarding events, programs, activities, etc. Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting recreation space for residents, families, and staff Communicate with Director of Therapeutic Recreation for supply, program, and resident need Provide appropriate therapeutic recreation interventions for residents Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Therapeutic Recreation Qualifications: Must possess a High School diploma or GED Experience working with seniors or in a health care setting preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent oral and written communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to anticipate resident needs are qualities for success in this position. All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
