Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.The Senior Digital Payments Product Owner is self-motivated, imaginative, and energetic about building highly competitive non-card payment products. They serve as the product owner for Digital Payments related systems and payment types. They will act as a Digital Payments subject matter expert on digital payment rails and the associated regulatory and network rules. Serve as a senior internal consultant and advisor to executives regarding the execution of the overall payments and payments systems, including the payment platform strategy roadmap designed to modernize and streamline payments processes. They will partner closely with Digital Payments operational units, business project managers and other members of Digital Payments, the SMD system support teams, ETS support teams, and Digital Channels while also partnering with other stakeholder business units to ensure what is delivered fulfills operational needs, strategic needs and drives a superior member experience.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Finance, Information Technology, Strategy or the or the equivalent combination of education, training or experienceExtensive experience leading, shaping and developing innovative solutions while managing business risksAdvanced analytical and conceptual skills to create original concepts/theories for various projectsAbility to exercise initiative, produce desired results and achieve objectivesAbility to learn different collaboration or product management tools quicklyAbility to multi-task and prioritize with minimal direction and assertiveness to change team processes quicklyAbility to productively communicate to stakeholders, team members, and leadersWorking knowledge of enterprise-wide business systems applications such as FIS applications (e.g., IMPACS, ST, RM), relational databases, and Microsoft Office ApplicationsExtensive experience in developing business or technology strategyAdvanced knowledge of project/program management processes and methodologiesAbility to comprehend, analyze, interpret, communicate and apply government and financial industry regulations, related principles and practices and company instructions, procedures and policiesPrevious project leadership and execution, including initiatives with technology, processes, cross-functional teams and external partner team membersAdvanced skill influencing and guiding strategic thinkingAdvanced skill delivering effective presentations to groups of various sizesEffective skill building effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy and tactStrong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsStrong problem solving and negotiation skillsDesired QualificationsExperience implementing digital payments platformsWorking knowledge of Navy Federal, NCUA, NACHA and Reg E policies, instructions, and regulationsExperience in one or more Savings & Membership functional areas and understanding of related Savings & Membership laws and regulationsAdvanced knowledge of credit union operations/processes and proceduresAppropriate industry certification, such as AAP, for associated digital payment typesMaster's Degree in Finance, Information Technology, Strategy or the or the equivalent combination of education, training or experienceAdditional InformationHours:Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PMLocation:820 Follin Lane, Vienna, VA 221805510 Heritage Oaks Drive, Pensacola, FL 32526 ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with a cross-functional team to launch product vision and strategyStreamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the teamOversee and manage the associated payments platforms, serving as the subject matter expert and business unit point of contact for Digital Payments LeadershipTranslate program vision into incremental deliveryDevelop and maintain horizontal partnerships across the organization to drive the evolution of Digital Payments platforms; advocating for and prioritizing future functionality to ensure internal and member pain points are addressed in conjunction with development of new payment technologyMaintain an understanding and advanced knowledge of the functions, processes, and systems of other cognizant business unitsServe as subject matter expert regarding product functions and how they relate to other products and servicesServe as subject matter expert on Regulatory and network requirements for related digital payment systemsPartner with technology teams to build and maintain product backlog, refine users stories and ensure prioritization and execution aligns with organizational objectivesPartner with business analysts to integrate usability studies, user research, and market analysis to into product requirementsAnalyze product usage and other empirical data and how that relates to key member needs to determine changes in product prioritizationRegularly analyze true needs for product features and constantly push for clear understanding of valueProactively work with product team to formulate creative ideas or solutions for potential issuesPartner with department executives, leadership and other key personnel to develop the long-term strategic direction and technology roadmapGuide and analyze benchmarking, trend analysis and other input to drive continuous improvement and elevate service performanceBring external perspective and ideas from relevant sources, stay current with technology as well as, government/policy impacts and industry best practicesDetermine when added product value should be pushed to members/employeesDeliver compelling and effective communications/presentations to executive managementPerform other related duties as requiredAbout the companyNavy Federal provides much more than a job.
