Job Description

Introduction
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Equipment Coordinator/Dispatcher to join our operations team. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient coordination of freight movement, supporting drivers, and maintaining optimal use of equipment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises sound judgment, and can make real-time decisions with minimal supervision. We are looking for someone to work in either our Cleveland or Columbus Ohio locations.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate on-time pick-up and delivery of freight to meet customer and operational requirements
Monitor and manage equipment inventory to ensure maximum utilization and efficiency
Trace loads and shipments to provide accurate, up-to-date status information
Manage freight volume and adjust dispatch plans based on changing conditions
Determine when, where, how, and what is required to successfully move each load
Make real-time decisions to address delays, equipment shortages, or routing challenges
Actively support truck drivers by providing guidance, updates, and problem-solving assistance
Maintain clear communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams
Ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards

Qualifications

Proven ability to make independent decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred
Ability to monitor multiple moving parts while maintaining attention to detail
Comfortable working with minimal direct supervision
Proficiency with dispatching or logistics software is a plus

This position plays a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly and ensuring timely, efficient service delivery.
