Program Management Senior Specialist - Growth Lab - Email (Hybrid)

The Program Management Senior Specialist is the glue that keeps all the elements of an email marketing campaign project together. They are well organized project managers, excellent communicators, proactive problem solvers, and technical subject matter experts in email marketing. They serve as the connective tissue between product marketing managers, production project managers, and the development team, ensuring projects are well defined, delivered on time, and meet quality standards. The base salary range for this full‑time position is $103,000 – $131,000 + bonus + benefits. Position Responsibilities Partner with product marketing managers (PMMs) in campaign ideation and intake document formulation Collaborate during the campaign ideation stage, gather technical requirements, confirm feasibility, define execution timelines, and address email personalization and complex logic intricacies Provide strategic input on growth best practices, segmentation, and user journey optimization to help achieve campaign business goals Act as a consultative partner, advising PMMs on translating business objectives into effective email channel strategies Guide the PMM through the Campaign Requirement Document creation, ensuring intake documents are comprehensive for the production team Project manage campaign development and deployment Kick off and strategically manage campaign development with the offshore production team, providing guidance and answering questions, and managing production timelines Prepare work orders and create project estimates for the PMM, managing the approval process for these estimates Coordinate with Data Specialists to align data requirements and inputs with HTML development and production, acting as a strategic partner between Data Specialists and the offshore team Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews on all deliverables against client specifications before release to the PMM Communicate production progress to the PMM, facilitate approval of simulations, proofs, and prototypes, and ensure changes are implemented after reviews Flag issues that arise during production and proactively seek solutions Manage campaign deployment in internal growth tools and monitor campaign health Actively manage internal growth tool (Gamma) campaign deployments and lifecycle management (pause, activate, launch) Be the expert on Gamma campaign management Monitor campaign deployment health through Gamma reporting tools and internal tools; delegate monitoring as appropriate to Data Specialists and email specialists Conduct post-launch performance analysis to derive engagement insights and identify future improvement areas Troubleshoot and resolve escalations Proactively lead resolution by quickly identifying root causes and working closely with stakeholders Document issues in blameless post‑mortems, ensure alignment across stakeholders, and facilitate process adjustments to prevent recurrence Drive innovation and strive for excellence Identify and implement process improvements, such as AI tools in email creative or production processes Keep things organized Attend regular scrums and stand‑ups, provide status updates, and lead the PMM’s scrum as a collaborative partner Communicate effectively with the offshore production team, setting up and leading weekly calls; maintain internal project status trackers and post‑launch quality control sheets Ensure accurate work progress tracking in Asana Minimum Qualifications Overall 5+ years of experience in project management roles, coordinating projects across multiple organizations and cross‑functional teams 2–3 years of proven ability to manage high‑complexity, interdependent email campaigns, anticipating risks across multiple systems and stakeholders Advanced proficiency with primary email marketing technology tools (e.g., Marketo, Eloqua, HubSpot) and the ability to learn additional platforms independently Basic understanding of web development, HTML/CSS, and QA processes, with ability to troubleshoot technical issues and design resilient solutions Advanced client handling skills, acting as a strategic advisor and providing estimates that align with long‑term business goals Proficiency in data analysis tools to interpret performance results and recommend strategic improvements Strong, polished, and professional communication skills required for stakeholder interaction and team leadership Preferred Qualifications Understanding of marketing operations, processes, and business requirements Proactive and curious attitude with strong problem‑solving skills Familiarity with generative AI for email marketing content, production, and optimization Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment with rapidly changing priorities and high volume of projects Benefits Competitive wages and comprehensive health care, including medical, dental, and vision coverage Family‑friendly policies: gender‑neutral baby bonding leave, 24–26 week birth‑parent maternity leave, and generous life, accident, and disability insurance minimums On‑site employees enjoy free meals, snacks, and fun onsite experiences Information collected and processed as part of the Google Operations Center (GOC) jobs profile, and any applications submitted, is subject to GOC’s Applicant and Candidate Privacy Policy.
