Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Registered Nurse role based at Recovery Centers of America in Danvers, MA. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care for individuals undergoing detoxification and substance use disorder treatment, including comprehensive nursing assessments, medication administration, monitoring withdrawal symptoms, and documenting care in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards. The role involves collaborating with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other care team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. The nurse educates patients and families on treatment protocols, recovery resources, and health maintenance, while promoting a safe therapeutic environment. Daily responsibilities also include crisis intervention, participation in multidisciplinary rounds, adherence to infection control and safety procedures, and support of RCA’s mission to deliver compassionate, evidence‑based care. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts; current BLS certification (ACLS preferred). Clinical skills in assessment, care planning, medication administration, and monitoring patients in detox and behavioral health settings. Experience or strong interest in addiction treatment, mental health, or acute care nursing, with understanding of substance use disorders and Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT). Strong communication, de‑escalation, and therapeutic engagement skills to support patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment, prioritize multiple clinical tasks, and maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic health records. Commitment to trauma‑informed, culturally sensitive, and nonjudgmental care, respecting the dignity and diversity of all patients. Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
