Associate Attorney

Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off 401(k) matching Bonus based on performance Competitive salary Dental insurance Opportunity for advancement Kutner Corrado & Friedrich, LLP is seeking admitted attorneys with 1 to 5+ years experience to join its health care defense litigation practice, primarily in the areas of medical malpractice and nursing home litigation. This position is primarily on-site in our Garden City, New York office, with hybrid options available. Preferred candidates will have at least 1 year of relevant personal injury litigation experience. Experience in nursing home and/or medical malpractice litigation is preferred, though general or professional liability defense experience are acceptable. A training and mentorship program is in place. Attorneys will be responsible for managing their own case load in conjunction with senior associates and/or partners, based upon experience. General responsibilities include investigation, witness interviews, discovery, reviewing and analyzing medical records, drafting motions or other documents for submission to the Court, taking and defending depositions, client reporting and attending court appearances. The ability to work independently, and possessing strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills, are expected. The desire to take on responsibility, conduct hearings and trials and advance in the field is encouraged and highly valued. The expected salary range for these positions range from $85,000 to $175,000, depending on experience and performance. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, and education. In addition to the base salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive discretionary bonuses.
