The Department of Neurology at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle is hiring two neuropsychologists at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank to join the Division of Pediatric Neurology at Seattle Children's Hospital. The responsibilities of this position will primarily include outpatient evaluations with potential for specialized clinics and inpatient work. Responsibilities also include supervision of neuropsychology trainees and broader teaching of neurology residents. Candidates with subspecialty interests or training will also be considered.

The Pediatric Neurology Division at Seattle Children's Hospital provides comprehensive treatment and diagnostic services for children in the WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho) region. The neuropsychology program serves patients referred from departments throughout the hospital including neurology, neurosurgery, rehab medicine, cardiology, oncology, neurodevelopment, and craniofacial. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

This is a full-time appointment and is Open rank (without tenure for reasons due to funding). The rank is commensurate with qualification and experience.

Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The base salary range for this position in this title will be $11,324 - $12,417 per month ($135,888 to $149,004 per year), commensurate with experience, discipline, and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

Associate Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The base salary range for the Associate Professor title will be $13,359 - $14,624 ($160,308 to $175,488 per year).

Our salaries are benchmarked based on the AAMC scale. Other compensation associated with this position may or may not include Startup, Relocation Incentive/Moving Allowance Administrative supplement for a defined administrative role, or Productivity Incentive.

Title, rank and salary is commensurate with experience. The anticipated start date of this appointment is July 1, 2026.

Qualifications

Requirements include:

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. or foreign equivalent
• Eligibility for licensure as a psychologist in the state of Washington
• Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology
