Work Location : Santa Monica, CA, USA Work Schedule 11.5 hour day shifts including weekends and holidays; 1 shift/week Salary Range : $33.06 - 33.06 Hourly Employment Type Duration Indefinite Job # 33590 Primary Duties and Responsibilities Under direct supervision of the NICU nurse manager, assist with patient admission, transfer and discharge procedures. Provide for the patient and family’s personal hygiene, safety and comfort needs. Provide clerical and clinical support to meet the daily operational needs of the NICU. Salary Range: $33.06 - $33.06 hourly Job Qualifications Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required Recent clerical and/or clinical experience in a NICU, Mother/Baby or Acute Care Pediatrics environment preferred Ability to pass an 8 hour computer data entry training course Ability to perform all physical requirements pertaining to delegated nursing, PT/OT, and RT assisted tasks Understanding of basic medical terminology and abbreviations, preferred Recent ward clerk and/or appropriate clerical experience in an acute hospital environment, preferred Skill in evaluating and reporting various kinds of emergent information pertinent to the functioning of an inpatient care unit As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
