Job Summary and Qualifications The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all functions within the unit or department during their assigned shift. Working alongside other management team members, the CNC directs, monitors, and assesses nursing care in line with established policies and procedures. They serve as a resource for staff and exemplify a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values, thereby enhancing patient experiences and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. Key Responsibilities: Facilitates admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care. Engages in the continuous evaluation of patient care quality in collaboration with the management team. Works with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a collaborative environment that enhances outcomes and service quality. Promotes a patient-first philosophy and participates in service recovery when necessary. Supports facility engagement initiatives by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly check-ins. Provides input on the recruitment, selection, and training of new staff. Recommends and executes actions related to training, conflict resolution, personnel policy adherence, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures to ensure a competitive organization. Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor resources in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity standards. Ensures proper inventory management and assists in overseeing supplies and equipment. Qualifications Required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within one year of starting employment. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment. Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within one year of starting employment. Must be a Registered Nurse. Possession of an Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in nursing. Our facility is a 285+ bed hospital equipped with cutting-edge technology and services.
