2nd Shift Tig Welder We are seeking experienced TIG Welders to support a fast-paced production line environment. This role involves TIG welding black carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe, including flanges and elbows, with a strong focus on cycle time, takt time, and repeatable quality. Ideal candidates are comfortable working on a moving line and maintaining weld quality while meeting production targets. Responsibilities: Perform TIG welding on black carbon steel pipe up to 8 inches and 4-inch pipe assemblies. Execute carbon steel to stainless steel welds. Weld elbows and flanges connecting to compressors. Complete welds through all three welding phases: Root pass, Fill pass, Cover cap. Properly prep material by grinding, beveling, and cleaning for weld-ready condition. Maintain consistent weld quality in a high-speed, production-focused environment. Follow safety, quality, and production procedures at all times. Essential Skills: Proven TIG welding experience with black carbon steel, stainless steel, and dissimilar metals (carbon to stainless). Strong understanding of pipe prep, including grinding and fit-up for flanges and elbows. Proficiency in root, fill, and cap techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment without sacrificing quality. Understanding of takt time and cycle time in a manufacturing setting. Experience working on or alongside a production line. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Recent extensive experience with steel welding. Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination. Experience in a line-driven workflow. Comfort with repetitive work and maintaining quality under time constraints. Why Work Here? Work Environment: Work is performed on a moving production line with a focus on speed, efficiency, and repeatability. This is not a custom or job-shop welding role. The 2nd shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 5pm to 3:30am, with a 10% shift differential. Mandatory overtime on Fridays may be required to meet production deadlines. Candidates must be comfortable with line-driven workflow and maintaining quality under time constraints. Personal Protection Equipment is required, and the position involves physical activities such as standing, walking, and lifting. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ 85212. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $39.60/hr.
