Criminal Defense Attorney

Trial Experience Preferred. We’re a Los Angeles criminal defense firm handling a mix of misdemeanor and felony matters across Southern California Courts. We’re hiring a Spanish-speaking attorney with 3–5 years of criminal defense experience and real courtroom time to take on a caseload with meaningful autonomy and grow into a senior role on our team. Responsibilities Manage your own caseload from intake through resolution with paralegal support. Appear in court regularly—including arraignments, prelims, motions, and trials—and lead or co‑lead trials based on your experience level. Draft your own motions, develop case strategy directly with firm leadership, and communicate with clients in English and Spanish. Qualifications Active California Bar license in good standing. 3–5 years of criminal defense experience. Professional fluency in Spanish (spoken and written); ability to interview a client, explain a plea, and handle witness preparation in Spanish. Demonstrated trial experience—taken cases to verdict, first or second chair. Comfortable managing a caseload independently while knowing when to ask for backup. Strong written and oral advocacy skills. Compensation $145,000 per year, plus performance-based increases. #J-18808-Ljbffr
