Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Charleston, South Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Charleston, South Carolina. This position involves providing patient care on a medical-surgical unit within a well-established healthcare facility. The role requires collaboration with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes, adhering to facility policies and safety standards. Job Details: Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH Stroke Scale); graduation from an accredited nursing program; current South Carolina nursing license; 0 years of experience required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience on a medical-surgical unit is preferred but not mandatory. Float: Float rotation may be required to similar units as the needs dictate. Additional Information: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy and is expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. They must perform hourly safety rounds and bedside shift reports with patients. The unit employs a team nursing approach with techs on the unit, and staff are required to wear navy-colored uniforms. Patient ratios are approximately 6-7:1, with a team of experienced staff and new equipment.
