Details Work in the Pediatric General OR unit of a children's hospital Facility has 8 total ORs, with only 2 operational overnight Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, 1830-0700 Weekend work required, likely limited to Friday nights No on-call responsibilities Night shift covers urgent and emergent add-on cases only Floating within scope may be required if needed, though considered a vacant essential position Block scheduling may be considered at manager's discretion but is not guaranteed Requirements Active SC or Compact RN license required BLS certification required (AHA certifications only) Minimum 2 years of pediatric setting experience required Minimum 2 prior travel contracts required within this specialty setting Pediatric and/or women's surgery experience preferred Epic EMR experience required Skills required include emergency management, code response, fire safety, latex allergy protocols, and malignant hyperthermia awareness Social Security number and driver's license required for consideration Additional Information Radiation badge will be provided by parent company First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates considered within a 60-mile radius Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler All requested time off must be submitted with the initial application for facility approval Staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs June through November with peak activity in August and September American Traveler Job ID P-748777.
