Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to help them attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status
• Implement the nursing process by delivering effective relationship-based nursing care
• Demonstrate technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive patient care outcomes
• Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with the care team to optimize patient care and clinical outcomes
• Utilize a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies, including stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, and electronic monitoring devices
• Handle Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with applicable regulations as part of regular responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Ohio
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ACLS and/or PALS certification may be required based on clinical assignment
• Working knowledge of the nursing process and nursing practice standards

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an Emergency Room or acute care setting
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to the professional development of nursing practice
