CNC Milling Machinist at Confidential Bay Shore, NY

Role Purpose We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Milling Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you won't just be a "button pusher." You will have full ownership of your workstation—interpreting complex blueprints, performing complete machine setups, making critical offsets, and editing G‑code to manufacture tight‑tolerance parts for high‑reliability aerospace and industrial applications. Required Qualifications 3–5+ years of hands‑on experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines in a precision manufacturing environment. Proven G‑code fluency: Ability to read and edit G‑code at the machine control level (Fanuc or similar controls preferred). Deep understanding of speeds and feeds for a variety of materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and plastics. Highly proficient with manual inspection tools; understanding of AS9100 quality standards is a major plus. Salary & Working Hours Salary: $52,000 – $72,800 per year Shift: First; Hours: 8 AM – 4 PM Education High School Responsibilities Complete Machine Setup: Independently set up 3‑4‑or‑5‑axis vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines (e.g., Haas, Mazak, Mori Seiki, or Fanuc controls). Tooling & Fixturing: Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on machines; set tool lengths and work coordinates. G‑code Editing: Read and interpret G‑code/M‑code programming languages fluently; perform edits at the controller to optimize tool paths, correct errors, or adjust feed rates and spindle speeds. Blueprint & GD&T Interpretation: Work directly from complex engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing specifications to understand part requirements. First‑Piece Inspection: Check your own setups and execution using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, bore gauges) to ensure parts meet tolerances as tight as plus/minus 0.0002. #J-18808-Ljbffr
