Overview:The Senior Field Marketing Manager, Expos & Events, owns the national strategy and performance of Fleet Feet’s expos and community activations as a core driver of customer acquisition and retention, revenue growth, and brand awareness.This role is accountable for delivering measurable business impact through a scalable, locally relevant strategy, while continually identifying opportunities to elevate Fleet Feet’s event strategy through innovative activations, partnerships, and customer experiences that strengthen the brand and drive business results. As a key strategic partner within Sales Operations, this individual will define the vision for expos, events, and community activations, lead cross-functional initiatives, and influence store teams to deliver consistent, high-impact execution across markets.This role partners closely with store leadership to evolve grassroots marketing efforts that complement broader expo and event strategy, and travels as needed to support key events, markets, and team engagement.Responsibilities:Own the national strategy for expo, events, and community activations, driving revenue growth, customer acquisition, and brand awareness through scalable, locally relevant executionOwn and manage the national expo and events budget, including KPI development, ROI measurement, and performance optimizationLead through influence across store teams to gain alignment, drive adoption of national outreach initiatives, and inspire consistent high-quality execution across markets that drive sales, customer engagement, and customer acquisitionLead cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution aligning Operations, Purchasing, Marketing, Finance, Vendors, and store teams to deliver high-impact experiences and exceptional resultsDesign and scale tools, training, and resources that enable consistent and effective local execution of expos, events, and activations across marketsContinually evaluate and evolve Fleet Feet’s expo and experiential marketing strategy; identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience, operational efficiency, revenue growth, and scalability through new ideas, partnerships, and best practicesIdentify and pilot new activation formats, partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities to expand reach, drive revenue, and improve customer acquisitionCollaborate with store outreach leads, District Managers, Franchise Operations, and cross-functional partners to communicate initiatives, assess market conditions, and identify growth opportunitiesServe as the company’s subject matter expert on expos and community activations, driving innovation and continuous improvement across marketsProvide strategic recommendations to leadership to improve performance, optimize investment, and unlock new opportunitiesQualifications:5+ years of experience in retail marketing, experiential marketing, and/or large scale event planning, including at least 3 years of owning strategy, budgets, and cross-functional initiatives that delivered measurable business resultsProven track record of developing and scaling marketing initiatives, playbooks, and tools that drive measurable business results across multiple markets and/or teamsExperience managing budgets, evaluating ROI, business impact, and using data and insights to optimize performanceDemonstrated ability to create innovative customer experiences and activations, while balancing creativity with operational excellence and disciplined executionProven ability to lead through influence, gain alignment, and drive results across store leadership and cross-functional teamsExcellent communication, presentation, organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentComfortable operating seamlessly between strategy and execution; from developing long-term initiatives and scalable playbooks to leading on-site event execution, solving problems in real time, and ensuring exceptional resultsUp to 50% travel required, including weekends aligned with event schedulesLocation: Carrboro, NCWhy You'll Love It Here:At Fleet Feet, we’re more than just a company—we’re a passionate, mission-driven community.
