Payroll And Benefits SpecialistThe Payroll and Benefits Specialist will manage the company’s payroll and benefits function, ensuring payroll is processed on time and accurately. This position is also responsible for managing, overseeing, and administering current employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, FSA, HSA, and 401k plans.ResponsibilitiesThe Payroll and Benefits Specialist will manage the company’s payroll and benefits function, ensuring payroll is processed on time and accuratelySet up and manage the new payroll system, process, and policies for the new entityImplements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductionsEnsures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay ratesDesign & manage the benefits programs for the new entity and factory employeesPrepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactionsReview and process quarterly and/or year-end payroll procedures, including reviewing tax statements and other applicable quarterly and year-end documentsEnsures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practicesThoroughly understand the process and calculations for unemployment taxes in GeorgiaManage benefits programs such as 401k, medical, dental, vision, life, voluntary life, and flexible spending plansManage monthly billings from insurance providers and other vendors, including reviewing billings for accuracy, codes, and advance for paymentFacilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditorsCollect experience/census data from available resources (as needed)Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiencyEnsure compliance with applicable government regulationsEnrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident, and death claimsManage the employee benefit files and update employee payroll recordsResearch and propose additional benefit programs to enhance the Company’s benefits programServe as liaison with outside benefit providers to resolve escalated issues, identify root causes and trends, and determine alternative solutionsManage the HR Information System dataAdhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLSPerform other duties and special projects as assigned by managementRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree required5+ years of prior experience in payroll, benefits, and compensationStrong payroll systems skills: prior experience with Paycom/Paylocity requiredStrong knowledge of benefit and compensation programs and related functionsStrong Excel skills: Pivot Table, V-Lookups, filters, etc.Excellent logic and analytical abilitiesStrong organization aptitude and attention to detailSolid understanding of payroll and payroll tax lawsStrong knowledge of various benefit programsDemonstrated reliability with excellent time-management skillsWorks well under the pressure of deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsA bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field in business administrationStrong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs.
