About the Position

Job Title: Echo Tech Profession: Sonographer Specialty: Echocardiography Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Required Certifications: - BLS (AHA) - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-AE) via ARDMS Must-Have: - PEDS experience required - Ability to perform standard and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) - Experience with EMR and PACS systems (specifically EPIC) Description: The department performs echocardiography studies. Average number of studies conducted per day is 15-20. There are 2 rooms and 1 holding area available for scanning. Candidates will not be required to float to other areas. An RN from the cath lab will assist with starting IVs when necessary. Shifts may start later depending on the timing of the first scheduled study. Coverage is needed every 3rd Saturday and on-call every 3rd day. Scrubs are provided for staff. The client may cancel 2 shifts for assignments longer than 13 weeks. Charting is done using the EPIC system. This position does not require a BSN.
