Job Overview We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Responsibilities Perform thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and fluid checks. Inspect and service hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns. Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues; develop effective repair solutions. Utilize diagnostic equipment, technical manuals, and schematics for troubleshooting. Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations. Follow manufacturer specifications and record maintenance activities accurately. Collaborate with team members and communicate repair status to supervisors and customers. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; formal apprenticeship or technical training in heavy‑duty mechanics preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience as a heavy‑duty mechanic (preferred). Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing heavy‑duty vehicles. Familiarity with a wide range of tools, diagnostic devices, and industry equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics. Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and commitment to quality workmanship.
