About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Immunology Discovery Research to lead a senior role in shaping the immunology discovery pipeline. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the vision and strategy for the immunology team, managing priorities, resources, and investments in line with the greater immunology discovery strategy. This role requires a minimum of 15 years' experience in immunology discovery research, with a strong background in all stages of drug development, including the integration of external business development and academic collaborations. The Executive Director will also be involved in talent development, fostering a high-performance culture, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to achieve organizational objectives. Candidates for the Executive Director position must have an advanced degree in immunology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a relevant field, and a proven track record in the discovery of multiple immunology drug candidates. The role demands a leader with excellent people management skills, the ability to create and lead high-performing teams, and a passion for team building and talent development. Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to work with senior-level managers across various functions. The ideal candidate will have a holistic understanding of advancing candidates from target identification to product launch, experience in compound and biologics discovery, and a strong network in the field. A critical thinking ability, innovative mindset, and a commitment to inclusive behaviors are also required.
