About the Role We’re looking for a Global Logistics Manager to lead our international shipping activities end to end — from budget and vendor strategy down to day-to-day shipment execution and reporting. This role owns the strategy, cost performance, and forwarder/carrier portfolio behind Wahoo's global transportation network, while also coordinating and booking shipments, managing inbound approvals, and building the analytics that keep the network running on time and on budget. The ideal candidate has strong experience managing the shipping strategy and activities for a global consumer products company and is equally comfortable leading a quarterly business review and tracking shipments lane by lane. In this role, you would manage our inbound (i.e., from our suppliers to our 3PLs) logistics function which cover the following scopes of work: owning the global logistics budget and monitoring logistics spend variances, reporting on cost performance, and driving corrective action where needed leading vendor selection and negotiations with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and other platform providers to build the right processes and toolsets within Wahoo and secure the most optimum freight rates and schedules managing forwarder and carrier contract terms, rate structures, and accessorial charges, including strategy to actively steer and minimize demurrage and detention exposure monitor and influence suppliers and our 3PLs to ensure process standards, increase on time performance, and reduce customer pricing serve as the final decision maker (either directly or with the assistance and advice of outside experts) on complex or issues (e.g., novel customs questions, complex muti-party transactions) approving HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) code classifications and resolving classification disputes owning compliance with Dangerous Goods regulatory frameworks and all other governance frameworks within which regions we operate or move freight developing and maintaining reporting and dashboards covering logistics budget/spend, shipment volumes, on-time performance, and exceptions tracking transit times by lane and adjusting lead time schedules as needed identifying opportunities and failures in network performance and surfacing trends and recommendations producing vendor and provider performance reporting (ocean carriers, freight forwarders, drayage providers) against SOP's, and supporting compliance reporting coordinating and booking shipments from origin markets (Asia and other) into the U.S., UK, Netherlands, Australia, and Malaysia managing day-to-day communication with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, brokers, and drayage providers to execute bookings on schedule tracking shipment status end-to-end and proactively flagging early, late, or at-risk shipments managing and approving inbound shipment activity, ensuring PO management operations meet business requirements reviewing and approving shipment documentation for accuracy and compliance prior to release coordinating with 3PL freight forwarders on PO management operations and day-to-day performance What We’re Looking For We’d love to hear from you if the following describes you: 3 or more years of experience working in logistics or transportation operations with proven experience in several if not all of the scopes defined above. That is: Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations as well as international transportation network including ocean carriers, freight forwarders, ports, drayage provider network Experience in transportation procurement and negotiating contracts and rates Strong command of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles Familiarity with one or more Transportation Management Systems (TMS) Appetite and skill-set to master existing processes and improve on them with documentation, reporting, or analysis. The ideal candidate would have experience doing the following: Building process maps in digital whiteboards (e.g., Confluence, Miro) or desktop tools (e.g., Powerpoint) Developing models or reporting using traditional tools like Excel and PowerBI or with more advanced tools (e.g., custom dashboard or automated workflows manually or with the assistance of AI tools like Claude Cowork) Strong cross-functional collaboration experience where they have demonstrated excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills A customer-orientation towards Wahoo’s end customers (our athletes) and the many internal customers (colleagues who are impacted by inbound logistics) across the Wahoo business Able to conduct complex, important work under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.
