PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Our organization, a prominent healthcare provider in Berkshire County, Massachusetts, is actively looking for dedicated and skilled Physician Assistants to join our team. We have exciting opportunities in the Emergency Department, across nine Primary Care Facilities, and within the Hospitalist department. Key Responsibilities:

1. Emergency Department (ED):

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with urgent and critical health issues in a fast-paced setting.
• Work collaboratively with a diverse team to create and execute effective treatment strategies.
• Perform necessary procedures, including suturing, splinting, and wound care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure comprehensive documentation of patient care.

2. Primary Care Facilities:

• Deliver high-quality primary care services to patients across nine different locations.
• Conduct thorough assessments to determine healthcare needs and formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, including minor injuries and infectious diseases.
• Provide education to patients on preventive care, lifestyle changes, and health promotion techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.

3. Hospitalist Department:

• Oversee the medical care of patients admitted to the hospital under the hospitalist team’s supervision.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations, order diagnostic tests, and analyze results.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and procedural interventions.
• Monitor patient progress, assess treatment responses, and modify care plans as needed.
• Work with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and smooth transitions of care.

Qualifications:

• Valid and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in Massachusetts.
• Certification as a Family Physician Assistant (specialty-specific certification is preferred).
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic capabilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
