Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Platform Architect / Data Warehouse Architect (Level 5) to lead the modernization of enterprise data platforms and data warehouse capabilities. The ideal candidate will develop target-state data architecture and support the delivery of Data, Analytics, and ML products aligned with enterprise strategy, data governance, security, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Enterprise Data Strategy, Data Landscape, and Target-State Architecture using frameworks such as TOGAF, FEAF, or DODAF .
• Design and modernize Enterprise Data Platforms (EDP), Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Analytics, and ML platforms .
• Develop Reference Architectures, Architecture Patterns, Standards, and Best Practices .
• Lead architectural reviews and manage exceptions to maintain enterprise architectural integrity.
• Drive innovation through POCs, co-development, emerging technologies, and vendor partnerships .
• Lead or support RFI/RFP processes for selecting Data Platform and Cloud Service Provider technologies.
• Architect Data Services and Data Products aligned with enterprise standards and business needs.
• Ensure implementation of Data Governance and Data Security standards across Data, Analytics, and ML products and pipelines.
• Support MDHHS data warehouse and analytics platform modernization initiatives.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience developing Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Strategy, and Data Landscape in partnership with Enterprise Architects.
• 5+ years of experience developing Reference Architectures, Architecture Patterns, and conducting Architectural Reviews.
• 3+ years of experience driving RFP/RFI processes , vendor partnerships, and Data Platform innovation.
• Experience with Enterprise Data Platforms and the full technology stack required to support Data Engineering, Analytics, and ML pipelines .
• Strong understanding of Data Governance, Data Security, and Enterprise Architecture standards .
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
