Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely processing of internal and external invoices, company credit card transactions, and payments to contractors and vendors. Responsibilities Manage credit card and transaction processing and reconciliation. Process invoices and payments. Process and verify accuracy of client billing for all transactions. Keep accounts accurate and current. Process expense reports for internal employees. Update and verify contractor information in the accounting system, including direct deposit information and W9. Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies. Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with management, team members, and other teams. Requirements Strong interpersonal, analytical, and technical skills. Well‑organized and detail‑oriented. Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently. Customer‑service orientation. Ability to multi‑task in a deadline‑driven, high‑volume environment. Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with others. Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organization. Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and procedures, including expense coding. Basic knowledge of office applications and accounting software. Knowledge of 1099 reporting. 1–2 years of accounts payable experience preferred. Staffing agency experience preferred.
