You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and nursing staff, to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and create individualized treatment programs that adhere to the latest standards of physical therapy practice.
• Accurately document each evaluation and treatment session in our electronic medical record system to ensure compliance with regulatory and billing requirements.
• Provide targeted interventions that aim to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent disabilities.
• Screen patients when necessary, evaluating for conditions such as lymphedema, fall risks, and rehabilitation needs.
• Deliver care for both inpatient and outpatient caseloads, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to address diverse patient needs effectively.
• Engage in professional development initiatives by participating in departmental education efforts, presentations, and supervision of students or interns.
• Select and utilize appropriate assessment tools, tests, and measures to track progress and set achievable goals for each patient.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from acute injuries, managing chronic conditions, or dealing with disabilities that affect their day-to-day lives. Our approach emphasizes a comprehensive assessment of each patient's medical history, current conditions, and personal goals to deliver holistic care that not only addresses physical needs but also supports emotional and psychological well-being.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in Florida.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital or rehabilitation setting.
• Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.
• Ability and willingness to work with pediatric patients, demonstrating adaptability to various age groups.
• Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and comfort in both clinic and hospital environments.
• Competence in providing inpatient care, showcasing the ability to manage complex cases effectively.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
