Hiring Now Short Order Cook Must have flexible schedule! Scheduling and Compensation Experience preferred. Morning and Evening. Raises and/or advancements based on performance and reliability. Currently looking to fill Sundays 12-8 & 3-11, Tuesday/Wednesday 3-9, Friday/Saturday 10-5 Location Your Place Restaurant & Sports Pub 2133 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA, 17602. Responsibilities Stock ingredients needed for food items by washing, cutting, dicing, or slicing them as needed. Cook food according to instructions provided in recipes, on food order slips, or through verbal directions. Check food temperatures with thermometers to ensure that food has reached safe levels of heat for consumption. Recognize and adhere to quality requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products, as well as correct storage and waste management. Maintain work stations, including all countertops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition per health and safety regulations. Clean equipment and work surfaces at the end of each shift, including sweeping floors, mopping, and cleaning counters. Take verbal or phone orders from customers and transacting payments while providing friendly and courteous service. Qualifications Reliable to report on-time for scheduled shifts. Ability to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage regulations. Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
