Multimedia Coordinator

The Multimedia Coordinator for the Division of Strategic Communications, under the direct supervision of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Strategic Communications, works collaboratively with campus partners to create targeted video, photography, and other visual media assets that advance the university's mission, strengthen the LSUA brand, support enrollment growth, and elevate awareness of campus culture, academic programs, faculty engagement, athletics, advancement initiatives, and institutional priorities. This position creates visually compelling content for internal and external audiences, supports social media and digital content needs, and provides direction, coordination, and oversight for the university Media Team to enhance the quality, consistency, and impact of visual storytelling across the university.

Key responsibilities include operating photo, audio, and video production equipment, responsible for all video production, supporting proof of concept, creating and distributing collateral for advertisements, working closely with Strategic Communications team members on multiple projects, monitoring digital activity, evaluating emerging technologies, creating and editing content for social media channels and LSUA website, and providing direction, coordination, and oversight for the university Media Team.

Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Communication, Graphic Design, Journalism, Digital Design, or related field preferred, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, ability to use a DSLR camera, general photography and photo editing skills, proficiency in social media application management, strong aptitude for learning new software programs, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, strong written and verbal communication skills.
