Day.Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital in Stevens Point, WI is seeking a MANAGER- PATIENT REGISTRATION to join our PATIENT ACCESS-REGISTRATION team!The Manager of Patient Registration plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of pre-registration, benefit eligibility, insurance verification, preauthorization and registration for the hospital and clinics. This position is responsible to improve the patient experience, enhance patient throughput, improve the revenue cycle through standardization and ensure the clinic/department is operating within rules and regulations applicable to the function. This position is responsible to maintain competent and highly trained staff to ensure a high level of accuracy. This position serves as a resource to other departments, physicians, Clinic and Hospital Leadership, and patients as needed.HOURS: Full-time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period, Day onlyExperience/QualificationsAssociate's Degree in related field preferred. Bachelor's Degree highly preferred.Two to three years of management experience in a health care setting necessary to develop administrative skills, including work experience in the field of Patient Access.Experience with information technology systems used in the Patient Access areas.Knowledge of health system registration practices normally acquired through previous experience.Possess a high level of resourcefulness, innovation, and interpersonal and critical thinking skills.Ability to use independent sound judgment and decision-making.Ability to deal with high degree of variation and frequent interruptions.Ability to prioritize workload.Ability to collaborate including building, leading, motivating and coordinate activities of a cross-functional and/or multi-corporate team.Possesses project management and analytical skills necessary to develop and implement appropriate changes.Strong personnel management skills to direct work of and motivate assigned staff.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.Understanding of general business concepts and regulatory environment, especially those affecting the Patient Access areas.Position requires travel.Strong troubleshooting skills.Possess conflict resolution skills.Strong customer orientation.Professionalism.Employee BenefitsFull benefits packages available for part- and full-time status.PTO accrual from day one!Generous retirement plan with match available.Wellness program for employees and their families.Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital is a fully accredited acute-care facility, offering expert, personalized care for residents of Stevens Point and Portage County.
