Team members join a fast-paced, service-oriented environment where operational excellence and customer satisfaction are central.The Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. This hands-on role oversees day-to-day accounting operations, with a strong focus on accounts receivable, customer billing, collections, credit management, and cash flow. The position also supports general ledger activities, reconciliations, journal entries, month-end and year-end close, budgeting and forecasting, and accurate financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will lead and develop the accounting team, maintain strong internal controls, and partner with operations and leadership to improve processes and support business decisions.Qualifications:Experience overseeing accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, aging, billing disputes, credit limits, and payment trendsProficiency in core accounting functions such as journal entries, general ledger management, and account reconciliations.Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.Experience ensuring invoices and payments are properly supported, approved, coded, and accurately recorded.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.Experience in logistics, transportation, or a similar operationally focused industry is beneficial.Proficiency with accounting software and Excel.Ability to lead and develop accounting team members, prioritize multiple deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to ethical, inclusive, and non-discriminatory practices.Salary: $80,000-$90,000 annually
