Strategic Impact & Engagement Program Student Assistant - Federal Work Study

Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Academic Affairs department on the Blue Ridge campus. The student program assistants will help support a wide-variety of programs and activities on the UNG-Blue Ridge campus. The students will assist with the responsibilities of hosting events on campus such as the Tomato Sandwich Supper, the PEAKS program, Art Club (funded by a grant from Impact 100.) tabling sessions, and other SGA events on campus. Responsibilities The students may be responsible for helping PEAKS participants locate the proper venue for their events, assisting with project preparation/clean-up for art club, running errands to the store to purchase supplies, or assisting visitors to campus for tabling events. Additionally, students will be required to help with the preparations for large events on campus such as Field Day, the tomato sandwich supper, or bocce tournaments. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities The student workers must be able to work effectively with all types of people on the Blue Ridge campus: including students, faculty, staff, and guests to campus such as participants in our PEAKS program or Art Club. We encourage applicants who like to deal with a wide-variety of situations at work. We are envisioning workers helping with a wide-variety of signature events as well as more day to day tasks. We encourage applicants to apply who are able to work independently with minimal supervision. Required Qualifications Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
