Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing recognized assessments and observational analysis.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that address immediate goals while considering broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver focused one-on-one therapy interventions in areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Provide educational support for patients and families to enhance progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity throughout patient journeys.
• Create and maintain precise documentation in adherence to state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Stay informed of developments in the field by pursuing continuing education and collaborating with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
