Position Overview We’re seeking a detail-oriented, forward-thinking, and proactive Accountant to join their team. In this role, you’ll handle day-to-day accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and provide financial oversight for our construction and development projects. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, vendors, and leadership to keep operations running efficiently while identifying opportunities for improvement. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments. Track job costs, budgets, and job schedules for multiple construction projects. Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements. Assist with payroll processing and related reporting. Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and assist with filings in coordination with external CPA. Partner with management to provide financial analysis for decision-making. Adapt to multiple priorities and assist in other areas of accounting and administration as needed. Assist the title companies on related closings and property deeds. Qualifications 3+ years of accounting experience (construction industry experience is an asset) Cost accounting experience is a plus Background in privately held companies is highly valued Proficient in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar, plus strong MS Excel skills Familiarity with Bill.com is helpful but not required Solid understanding of GAAP principles Self-starter, problem solver, and forward thinker Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and communication skills What They Offer Competitive salary and benefits package.
