Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying individual mental health needs and developing appropriate treatment plans.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at improving emotional resilience in clients facing age-related challenges.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including medical providers and social workers, to create comprehensive care plans tailored to each client’s needs.

• Educate family members and community stakeholders about enhancing the emotional and mental wellness of older adults through workshops and resource materials.

• Provide grief and loss counseling, assisting clients and their families in navigating end-of-life issues with dignity and compassion.

• Implement cognitive and behavioral health interventions to engage and stimulate clients’ mental faculties, fostering mental acuity and social interaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will be working primarily with seniors coping with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, and stress related to life transitions. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid LMHC license in the state of New York.

• A minimum of four years of post-graduate experience in geriatric mental health counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n
