International Trade Compliance Manager

Import Export ManagerThe Import Export Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. import and export regulations and maintaining global trade compliance policies and procedures, with a primary focus on CBP and EAR rules and regulations. This is a 100% in-office position based in Long Grove, IL, Jackson, TN, or Farmington Hills, MI.Ensure compliance with import and export laws, with a primary focus on U.S. Customs regulationsMonitor regulatory changes and assess their business impactDevelop and maintain global trade compliance policies, procedures, and trainingSupport internal and external audits, post-entry reviews, and compliance assessmentsLead product HTS & ECCN classification, valuation, country of origin, and FTA eligibilityManage export license process following EAR regulations and requirementsDetermine and apply Antidumping and Countervailing Duty (AD/CVD) case numbers and ratesServe as the primary point of contact for CBP trade compliance inquiries and investigationsTrack trade KPIs and provide insights to senior leadershipLicensed US Customs Broker (LCB) preferred5- 7+ years of trade compliance experience, focused on import logisticsIn-depth knowledge of U.S. import regulations, HTS classification, valuation, and PGAStrong knowledge of Free Trade Agreement programs, with emphasis on USMCAExperience with Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) and duty drawback programsExperience in automotive, chore products, or base metal industry a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 10%)
