Seaport Terminal Operations Specialist

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. One year of public contact experience is required. Must be able to work a permanent or rotating shift schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Must possess a Driver's license. Completion of college coursework may substitute for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis. Recruitment Notes The Seaport Terminal Operations Specialist in Cruise Operations is responsible monitoring operations and the maintenance of cruise terminals during cruise passengers' embarkation and debarkation. This position has a variety of tasks to include providing customer service, inspection of elevators and moving walkways for serviceability and safety, monitor all phases of terminal operations, record vessel's water usage and is the primary point of contact between cruise lines, security, and department personnel during terminal operations. Seaport Terminal Operations Specialist is an operational position that works a rotating shift to include early mornings, weekends (Saturday and Sunday), and holidays. Employees of Miami-Dade Seaport Department who work in secure unescorted access area are required by federal law to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification (TWIC) Card and must maintain the security clearance as continued condition of their employment.
