Executive Director's Secretary

The job of Executive Director's Secretary is done for the purpose of providing a variety of complex administrative and secretarial support to the executive director; coordinating activities of assigned administrative personnel; ensuring compliance of activities under area of responsibility with financial, legal and administrative requirements; and providing information, recommendations and/or direction as may be requested by the executive director. The Executive Director's Secretary (Confididential) is distinguished from the non-confidential Executive Director's Secretary in that the Confidential employee is required to develop or present management positions with respect to employer-employee relations or normally has access to confidential information that is used to contribute significantly to the development of management positions. This position is a designated confidential position.

Requirements / Qualifications

Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required. Four years of responsible secretarial experience; one year of college level secretarial training (24 semester or 36 quarter units or equivalent) may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Targeted job related education that meets organization's prerequisite requirements. High school diploma or equivalent. Submitted applications will be screened for minimum qualifications. Those who meet the minimum qualifications will be emailed an invitation for testing. Testing is tentatively scheduled to be conducted on July 14, 2026. Valid California driver's license required upon hire.

• Copy of Transcript (Optional. Please attach copy of transcript for education in lieu of experience as set forth in Job Description. The transcripts must be from a regionally accredited college/university and demonstrate successful completion of 24 eligible semester units (or 36 eligible quarter units) of college level secretarial training. Diploma copy not accepted.)
• Letter of Introduction (Letter must be specific to the position for which you are applying)
• Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two (2) Letters of Recommendation are required and must be signed by the author. The signature block must include the author's name and title/relationship to the applicant. Letters must be dated within the last 2 years prior to the position closing date. Letters without author's signature, name and title/relationship to the applicant and letters without a date or dated more than 2 years prior to the position closing date will not be accepted. One letter from a supervisor is preferred.)

• Typing Certificate (Minimum Required Typing Speed is 50 net words per minute. Certificate must be verifiable and must show your name and be dated within the last 12 months prior to the recruitment closing date)
