Accounting Specialist

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST IN WAUKEGAN, IL Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Waukegan, IL. This role will process invoices, manage customer billing, resolve payment discrepancies, and assist with various accounting activities. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience working with AP and/or AR processes. Pay, Schedule, and Location $37.00/hour Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision Located in Waukegan, IL Duties and Responsibilities Process vendor invoices and internal check requests accurately and timely Index and process invoices through AP workflow systems Verify invoices for quantities, pricing, receipts, and approvals Resolve unmatched receipts and invoice discrepancies Code expense invoices and obtain required approvals Prepare weekly payment journals and process ACH and check payments. Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and disputes Generate daily customer billings from shipments and billing requests Review automated billings and resolve pricing or receipt discrepancies Assist with cash application questions and customer account issues Review past-due accounts and make initial collection communications Prepare monthly accounts receivable aging reports Support the accounting team with additional transactional and administrative tasks Requirements and Qualifications Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience 3+ years of AP and/or AR experience in a professional accounting environment Experience with both AP and AR preferred ERP experience required; Microsoft Dynamics Navision highly preferred AP workflow system experience is a plus Intermediate or higher proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work across multiple software systems and entities Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional and courteous communication with vendors, customers, and internal teams Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods Comfortable occasionally working around production or warehouse activity Salary range based on experience Accurate Personnel provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
