Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) – Pediatric Practice

Location: Chattanooga, TN

Position Type: FULL TIME

Schedule: Monday–Tuesday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Wednesday - Thursday 8:00 AM–3:00 PM

Closed: Friday

A well-established pediatric dental practice in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join a high-performing clinical team.

This practice is known for providing a positive, patient-focused experience for children and families, supported by efficient systems and a strong team dynamic. The role is structured, fast-paced, and designed for hygienists who value consistency, teamwork, and high-quality preventive care.

Key Responsibilities

Perform dental cleanings, prophylaxis, scaling, and polishing
Conduct periodontal assessments and charting
Take digital radiographs (X-rays)
Provide patient and parent education on oral hygiene and preventive care
Work with pediatric patients in a calm, supportive, and engaging manner
Assist dentists during exams and clearly communicate findings
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software
Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
Support clinical efficiency and maintain schedule flow throughout the day

Qualifications

Active Tennessee Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
Current CPR/BLS certification
Experience in pediatric dentistry preferred but not required
Strong communication and patient interaction skills
Ability to stay on schedule in a fast-paced clinical environment
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software preferred

Compensation & Schedule

Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Full-time, four-day workweek
Fridays off
