Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure EngineerOur client, a digital payment platform for the logistics industry, is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer for a direct hire role located in Atlanta, GA. This role is hybrid.We'd love to hear from you if you have:Extensive background managing production-grade AWS environments, with a mastery of compute, networking, and data storage services managed through robust infrastructure-as-code practices.Strong Docker fundamentals, including multi-stage builds, layer caching, and image optimization, with a track record of images that stay small, build fast, and behave the same in CI as they do in production.Fluency with infrastructure-as-code in Terraform or AWS CDK, including module design, state management, and patterns that scale cleanly across multiple environments.Substantial expertise in architecting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. While we prefer GitLab, we value deep knowledge of runners and build optimization gained from using Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.Substantial expertise operating within SOC 2 or PCI DSS frameworks, with an understanding of how to balance functional security controls and rigorous documentation. Extra points if you have experience providing direct evidence during audit cycles.Experience with compliance platforms such as Vanta for managing audit documentation and evidence gatheringHands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) and well-developed opinions on effective AI interaction patterns and workflowsDemonstrated ability to effectively prompt and collaborate with AI coding assistants to accelerate development, with experience integrating these tools into team workflows for code review, refactoring, test generation, or documentationExperience working with APIs using Golang, Python, or a similar language.Experience with relational databases and developing transactional software.Serverless systems development experience working with AWS services like API Gateway, EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, and Cognito.Understanding of system design principles, including loose coupling, separation of concerns, and scalable architecture patternsUS citizenship or existing work visaIt would be a plus if you have:Hands-on experience with Claude Code for development workflows such as code review, refactoring, or test generationExperience with payments, fintech, or another regulated industryHave experience in the logistics industryHave experience writing automation for vulnerability / penetration testingSome things you'll be doing:Own our AWS footprint and the code that defines it.
