RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Provide pediatric intensive care nursing in a Level II Trauma facility
• Maintain 2:1 patient ratios in a 15-bed Pediatric ICU
• Work alongside intensivists, respiratory therapists, desk tech, dietary staff, and case management
• Minimum 1 year current acute care hospital PICU RN experience required
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• CRRT experience preferred
• APHON certification preferred
• Pediatric teaching hospital experience preferred
• Perform IV starts and blood draws
• Handle TPT placements
• Use general cardiac monitoring equipment
• Work with Meditech/CPN EMR system
• Must work well under pressure in a teaching hospital environment
• Patient care experience is a priority

The facility maintains a 15-bed PICU with modern cardiac monitoring equipment and utilizes advanced EMR systems. The hospital operates as a teaching facility with experienced staff including 38 team members supporting pediatric intensive care services. The organization emphasizes quality patient care and maintains specialized programs for critically ill children.
