Mechanical Engineer 2

Pay: $36 - $38 an hr Location: Mossville, IL (On-Site) Duration: 24 months We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, analysis, and validation of cooling systems across a variety of applications, including construction equipment, power generation, marine, and electrification platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced engineering solutions and collaborate across product development teams in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Develop and validate cooling system designs using 1-D and 3-D simulation tools Perform CFD analysis to evaluate airflow, thermal performance, and system behavior Conduct system-level and component-level analysis for cooling applications, including heat exchangers, pumps, and radiators Support design and development teams by providing technical analysis, recommendations, and performance insights Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, systems, and validation engineers, to meet project requirements Analyze test data, correlate simulation models, and support resolution of field issues Assist in establishing technical requirements, specifications, and design improvements Investigate equipment performance issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Aerospace Engineering, or related field 2+ years of relevant engineering experience (or 1+ year with a Master’s degree) Strong background in thermo-sciences (fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer) Experience with 1-D and/or CFD analysis tools Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical data Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Experience with CAD tools Preferred Qualifications Experience with CFD tools such as Fluent, Star CCM+, or OpenFOAM Experience with 1-D tools such as GT‑Suite Working knowledge of engine, cooling, or electrification systems Programming experience (Python, C++, or Java) Experience with CAD tools such as Creo Knowledge of product development processes and simulation methods What You’ll Gain Hands‑on experience working on complex cooling systems across multiple industries Exposure to electrification and advanced thermal system design Opportunities to collaborate with experienced engineering teams Experience supporting real-world product development and validation #J-18808-Ljbffr
