Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill a Forklift Driver position for a manufacturing client in Lewisburg, TN. This is a Temp/Contract job. Apply now!

Duties for this position include:

• Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks to move raw materials, components, WIP, and finished goods
• Load and unload trailers while staging materials for production and shipping
• Supply production areas with materials to prevent downtime
• Transport hazardous materials safely according to company policy
• Perform material transactions using scanners and inventory systems
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and lot codes for accuracy
• Support cycle counts and inventory audits
• Store materials in designated warehouse locations
• Coordinate with production, shipping, and quality departments
• Deliver and remove components between molding, chroming, painting, and assembly departments
• Assist with packaging and palletizing finished goods
• Perform daily forklift safety inspections and report equipment issues
• Maintain clean and damage-free equipment
• Monitor battery charging and fuel levels on assigned equipment
• Follow OSHA and company safety regulations at all times
• Participate in safety training and certification updates

Compensation (USD):

$16.50/hour

Schedule:

Monday – Friday
3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Some Saturdays as required

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid Forklift Operator Certification required
• 1–2 years of forklift driving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
• Knowledge of safe handling of hazardous materials and chemicals preferred
• Basic math and computer/data entry skills required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, and operate equipment for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow safety procedures and company guidelines
