JR Level Techs are OK. A+ Certification or at least 3 months of PC Hardware Support experience would be ideal.

Temporary Computer Support Technician (4-Day Project)

Location: Yakima, WA (10 N 8th

Street, Yakima, WA 98901)

Duration: 4-Day Project Assignment

Experience Level: Junior Level

Rate: $35/hr and $35

per day (must stay on-site for lunch breaks)

Project Overview

We are seeking customer-focused Computer Support Technicians to assist with the beta launch of a new exam delivery platform.

During this critical project, several hundred test-takers will be using computer workstations, and we need reliable technical support professionals to

help ensure a smooth, secure, and successful testing experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for Help Desk Technicians,

Desktop Support Technicians, A+ Certified Professionals, recent IT bootcamp graduates, or individuals with hands-on PC troubleshooting experience.

Schedule

Candidates must be available for the following dates and

times:

• July 21: Begins at 8:30 AM PST (will take about 1 hour)
• Tuesday, July 28: 6:30 AM - approximately 6:30 PM (lunch times will vary)
• Wednesday, July 29: 7:30 AM - approximately 4:00 PM (lunch times will vary)
• Thursday, July 30: 7:30 AM - approximately 4:00 PM (lunch times will vary)

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support during exam administration.
• Monitor computer and laptop functionality to ensure a smooth testing experience.
• Troubleshoot common hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Quickly and calmly resolve technical problems as they arise.
• Assist users in a professional, courteous, and customer-focused manner.
• Escalate issues when necessary while maintaining a positive experience for test-takers.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in Help Desk, Desktop Support, Technical Support, or a similar IT support role.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting standard PC and laptop issues.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic when assisting users.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
• A+ Certification is a plus, but not required.
• Recent IT bootcamp graduates are encouraged to apply.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
